I have the hardest time keeping a diary. So, a couple months ago, I finally came up with a solution: an audio journal. I could do this with tapes and a recorder, but instead, I use the Belkin TuneTalk Stereo Microphones. It's a little recorder that plugs right into the the jack of your iPod. The recording is really good, you can keep lectures, daily updates, memories, and random conversations. It's strange to listen to your own voice, mine is actually higher pitched when recorded. It's a bit expensive, $69.95 from the Apple Online store, but its worth it.
I must say, the first few recordings were a bit weird to do, because I was speaking to myself, and I felt sort of stupid. But, I figure that in 50 years, listening to my teenage self will be quite entertaining.

I REALLY WANT ONE OF THOSE. It would SO help me remember the tune of the songs I write, considering that I suck at music theory and sightsinging in general.
Its genius.
Its really great, and so useful.
