China Photos.

I am finally posting my pictures from my trip to China in July! I took almost 2,000 photos, these are just a few. You may notice that I don't have pictures of iconic places like the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace, and that is because I accidently deleted 500 pictures off my camera on the third day, ooops!

Beijing:

above: red lanterns

Ummm, this was somewhere in Beijing...

above & below: In district 798

Rice in a supermarket- I've never seen so much rice

Xi'an:

Xi'an airport

above: the terra cotta warriors
below: view from the wall of the old city- we did the touristy thing and took the 8 mile bike ride. It was actually really really fun.

Chengdu (Sichuan):

Chengdu Airport

above: Candle from a temple
below: The Red Pandas are my favorite. I'm sorry, but I far prefer these creatures to the Giant Panda- they just aren't the nicest animals...

Just a picture of my friend Mary-Kate (left) and myself (right) at a temple in Chengdu!

Leshan Giant Buddha's head! This buddha is huge!

YangShuo:

On a bamboo raft floating down the river

above: Scenery, these mountains are featured on one of the bills of RMB, although I don't remember which one...

YangShuo is in the south of China, and it is HOT and sunny

LongJi:

Zhuang village

Hangzhou:

Technicolor glass bird... hmmm I guess I need one of those

Kitchen- just thought I'd through it into this post

above: Dragon Well Tea

below: West Lake, this day was so incredibly hot (heat wave) there was a breeze here and it was practically heavenly

Shanghai:

The ever beautiful lights on the Bund which is best viewed at night, of course, even if it had recently rained and I got wet in puddles

I just like Beard Papa's- who doesn't enjoy the occasional creme puff?

above & below: from the Urban Planning Museum, Shanghai- I loved it there, so cool to see the dioramas and plans for the future of Shanghai especially the upcoming World Expo Shanghai!

This car is called the "Panda Car", can't you see why?!

The Starbucks in the French Quarter of Shanghai; I really like this area of town, when I went for the first time 2 years ago I went during the late morning and it was March- its better at night and in the summer.

Cricket fighting is not quite as exciting or gruesome as it sounds

The view from the Hyatt hotel- Shanghai's tallest hotel

The Shanghai Airport
