I found about about this organization about a year or so ago. On the website you can order jewelry made from paper beads by women from Uganda who make the beads to make an living and support their families. Not only is it a good cause, but the beads are truly lovely, full of color and they can add a bit of culture to any outfit. I have a pre-made necklace, and I made my own strand with the beads (I bought a bag of the loose beads and strung them myself so that I could choose the length.) You can purchase earrings, necklaces, bracelets, postcards, and even a CD. I love these beads so much because they are helping women in poverty; it doesn't hurt that the beads are really neat!
